Aciphex (Rabeprazole) is a proton pump inhibitor used to treat ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD or heartburn), erosive esophagitis, or Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Aciphex works by blocking acid production in the stomach. Aciphex begins reducing acid within an hour of administration. Aciphex may be used in combination with antibiotics including Amoxicillin or Clarithromycin to treat certain types of ulcers.

Acyclovir (Zovirax) is an antiviral used to treat infections caused by herpes viruses including genital herpes, cold sores, shingles, and chicken pox. Acyclovir slows the growth and spread of the herpes virus so that the body can fight off the infection. Acyclovir lessens the symptoms of these infections and shortens the length of time you are sick. Treatment with Acyclovir should be started as soon as possible after the first appearance of symptoms (e.g. tingling, burning, blisters).

Albenza (Albendazole) is an orally administered broad-spectrum "antihelmintic" (anti-worm) medication used to treat parasitic infections caused by tapeworms. Albenza may also be used to treat infections caused by roundworms, hookworms, pinworms and threadworms. Each white to off-white, film-coated Albenza tablet contains 200 mg of albendazole.

Aldactone (Spironolactone) is a potassium-sparing diuretic used to treat congestive heart failure or high blood pressure. These conditions include congestive heart failure, high blood pressure, cirrhosis of the liver, kidney disease, and unusually low potassium levels in the blood.

Aldara may also be used to treat external genital and perianal warts in patients 12 years of age and older. Aldara helps fight the virus that causes genital warts by stimulating your body's own immune system.

Alesse contains a combination of hormones that is used to prevent ovulation (the release of an egg from an ovary). Alesse may also be used to regulate the menstrual cycle, treat symptoms of menopause or treat acne in women 14 years of age and older. Alesse 28 = 21 active pink tablets and 7 inactive green tablets. Each pink tablet contains: levonorgestrel 100 mg and ethinyl estradiol 20 mg, the green tablets are inactive.

Atarax (Hydroxyzine) is an antihistamine with anticholinergic (drying) and sedative properties that is used to relieve the itching caused by allergies and to control the nausea and vomiting caused by various conditions, including motion sickness. Atarax is also used for anxiety and to treat the symptoms of alcohol withdrawal. Atarax acts by blocking the binding of histamine to receptors in the body and so preventing or relieving the typical symptoms of an allergic reaction.
